FrameMaker Adapter for the DITA Open Toolkit – Revisited

In 2006 Mark Poston and a team of others developed a plugin for the DITA Open Toolkit that allowed content to be published into Adobe FrameMaker. Recently, Mekon have started work on updating this plugin to support DITA 1.2 and to resolve some of the issues that the original version had with a view to submitting it back to the DITA community.

This presentation will focus on how the FrameMaker Adapter can be used to develop a DITA publishing solution allowing users to take advantage of the powerful publishing capabilities of Adobe FrameMaker and any existing skills in working with FrameMaker templates.

Anyone who is or has previously used FrameMaker should attend this session to learn how they can make use of their existing investment in both software and users in order to publish high quality documents.
