Thursday december 15 NLDITA presents a Winter Special on the subject of translation and localization.
A full day of vendor demonstrations, lectures and we will also present one or two workshops.
Featured Keynote speaker: Elliot Nedas of XTM International, developer of the leading web 2.0 complete translation environment.
Subjects covered :
- how to translate DITA and XML content without losing native DITA/XML features like links, variables, conrefs, keys, maps, etc.
- what do the tools have to offer
- how much work is involved for clients (like preparations, pre and post processing, reworking content)
- are there any automated solutions
- what is XLIFF
- how does it work to translate XML
- how can we translate software strings and use those in our translated DITA topics
