With DITA as the foundation for technical documentation, organizations worldwide are beginning to see their documentation departments as strategic to the business. Organizations that think holistically about their documentation efforts can go beyond the typical tactical benefits of increased reuse, reduced localization costs and better agility in achieving time-to-market, and begin to move towards the strategic benefits, such as the impact on global customer experience. ‘Living’ documentation based on a foundation of DITA is the new paradigm that will help technical documentation become a strategic asset to the business.
This session will explore research from the market, analyst commentary and specific case study data from a number of visionary, global organizations that have adopted DITA, new technologies and new ways of thinking about their technical documentation process. We will also look at the practical steps towards achieving the ‘living’ documentation paradigm and implementing it for your business.
